ClassWallet News November 2017: Staples Joins ClassWallet Marketplace, Presenting to The Council for the Great City Schools Conference, and More

11/17/17

From the CEO

Greetings,

This fall, our customers distributed millions of dollars to tens of thousands of educators, more than triple the activity of last year. We are seeing a great deal of diversity in use of funds and types of dollars we are managing. Districts have expanded their use of ClassWallet to manage federal Title I dollars, state appropriated funds, local grants, and PTA donations. We are also seeing front office personnel getting ClassWallet accounts to respond to school-based purchase requests, and school kiosks budgets managed through the platform.

Approximately 85% of users get what they need through our ecommerce marketplace, 9% via our automated reimbursement feature and 6% on the ClassWallet debit card. As one ClassWallet administrator shared with us:

Very happy with our ClassWallet purchase 🙂

Sincerely,
Jamie
CEO, ClassWallet

ClassWallet Executives Address Finance Conferences

The Council for the Great City Schools Conference for CFOs of the Top 100 largest school districts and the Florida State Finance Officers Association both welcomed ClassWallet executives to address their audiences. Topics covered the disproportionate amount of resources required to track and manage relatively small transactions. ClassWallet counts several top 100 districts as customers, and 15% of Florida classrooms have ClassWallet accounts.

ClassWallet Fills Gap Where ERP and Accounting Platforms Fall Down

There is no shortage of ERP and accounting software solutions catering to school districts, and all of our customers are using one. However, most of our customers are sharing with us that those platforms are either ill-equipped or too inflexible to manage the smaller transactions - classroom-level purchases, reimbursements, purchase card reconciliation - in a time and cost efficient manner. ClassWallet supplements district processes in order to free up time and resources for the most impactful matters.
