ClassWallet Awarded Patent for Expense Management Innovation

From the CEO

Greetings,

Again another back to school season is upon us, and we are on track to repeat a 99% renewal rate. We work hard to deliver real value to our customers and nothing validates our efforts more than this near perfect renewal rate track record. We view ourselves as partners to school district finance offices, not just a software company, and we are looking forward to another year together, plus welcoming the many new school districts that have signed for this year.

We are extremely excited to have been awarded a patent on our technology. We have long believed that we are breaking new ground with how we leverage notional wallet technology. The patent secures our place in expense management innovation, and we have already fielded many requests from financial institutions to learn more.

We look forward to a successful school year ahead!

Sincerely,
Jamie
CEO, ClassWallet

ClassWallet Awarded Patent for Expense Management Innovation

ClassWallet always has been heralded as a pioneer for its use of notional wallet technology for expense management. Now it’s official. Within the wallet account, an administrator can establish and separately fund sub-accounts, establishing use restrictions, expirations dates, rules, etc. unique to each sub-account. Since ClassWallet has many accounts payable features connected to its wallet - ecommerce, reimbursement, debit card, billpay - user funds can be managed via sub-accounts in a variety of ways, which is now patented.

ClassWallet Launches DirectPay - Now Being Used by Scholarship Granting Organizations

ClassWallet launched its latest feature, DirectPay. Now ClassWallet customers can delegate payment authority to their users and vendors can register to accept ACH payments by providing banking information. First to make use of this feature are scholarship granting organizations that distribute grants to parents through ClassWallet. Parents pay private school tuition, therapists and tutors using DirectPay, and customers get approval workflow if desired and digitized invoice backup for every transaction, automated. About the Panel: Teacher Trust is a Must

While “a 10% increase in trust has the same effect as a 30% increase in pay,” one is hard-pressed to find schools where teachers are trusted enough to make instructional or purchasing decisions. The panel explores how districts can invest in trust with tangible, purposeful measures that “walk the talk” of valuing and trusting teacher agency. Doing so, they enhance morale, improve working conditions, increase teacher retention, and attract the best new teachers, thus improving student achievement. Interview with Jennifer Abrams, Education Influencer in Palo Alto, CA We sat down with international education consultant Jennifer Abrams to discuss what is needed for schools to keep and retain the millennial (http://www.pewresearch.org/topics/millennials/) teachers and help this generation thrive. Millennials make up the largest percentage of teachers, yet only 6% of superintendents think their district understands the needs of millennial teachers (‘16 Gallup Poll (https://news.gallup.com/businessjournal/195425/managing-millennial-teachers-major-challenge-schools.aspx) ). Most states are experiencing a teacher shortage, and new teachers entering the profession don’t stick around longer than five years (https://www.classwallet.com/2018/07/17/millennialteachers) . What can school districts do? Jennifer Abrams walks us through the problem and a solution to keep the millennial teacher in schools.
